1.  GURKHAS OF NEPAL HAVE BEEN PART OF BRITISH ARMY SINCE 1800's

Since 1815, Nepali Gurkha army, famous for the bravery, has been a part of the British Army. Till date there are many new recruits for the army. Many of the Gurkhas were awarded by medal like Victoria Cross. The name Gurkha originates from the place called Gorkha, which used to be a separate kingdom in 1800's.

2. NEPAL IS THE ONLY COUTNRY WITH NON RECTANGULAR NATIONAL FLAG

As we can see in the picture, flag of Nepal has two triangles with sun and moon. In fact this is the only national flag in the world which is not rectangular in shape. Beside in 2014 Nepal made a world record by making a largest human flag, with about 10000 people.

3. MOST PART OF THE HIMALAYAS RANGE IS IN NEPAL

4. THE AVERAGE WIDTH OF NEPAL IS ONLY 193KM

Despite of average width being only 193km it is impossible to travel the across the width of the country in a day. It usually takes a week or more to go form north to south of the country because of the very-very complex geographical structures. Except for some highways which reach north, it takes more than a day for the travel.

5. NEPAL HAS GOT HUGE DIVERSITY IN THE PEOPLE

There are more than 80 different ethnics groups in Nepal and people speaking more than 125 languages. People had different lifestyle , culture tradition while moving form south to north and east to west.
